Molylube Tenter Chain Lubricant with Moly, commonly known as Molylube RL-6, is a synthetic, high temperature chain fluid for oven temperatures above 191ºC (375ºF). It is a combination of synthetic fluids and molybdenum disulfide, or moly, designed to provide excellent lubrication and thermal stability without accumulating carbon residues. Molylube Tenter Chain Lubricant with Moly coats and penetrates the sprockets, links, and pins and bushings. The synthetic base fluid evaporates leaving the solid lubricant, molybdenum disulfide, to effectively coat and lubricate the bearing surfaces. The moly effectively prevents metal-to-metal contact, lubricating up to 427ºC (800ºF).
